Summary

Location: Tokyo, Japan On site
About the Role
The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for human resources administration with overall knowledge of all human resource compliance and office functions.
 
People Administration
  • Design and maintain performance management tools
  • Makes recommendations for Human Resources local policies 
  • Responsible for corporate governance and compliance including all Japan labor laws and regulations.
  • Processes employee data for compensation, job title, address changes and maintains confidentiality. 
  • Guides employees through onboarding and assist with benefits administration
  • Responsible for exit interviews and offboarding.
  • Processes and administers employee paid time off and reconcile variances
  • Partners with Chief Talent Officer on job descriptions, compensation, and career pathing
  • Reviews total rewards and benefits to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Coordinates immigration and mobility for local talent.
Benefits Administration
  • Guides employees through onboarding and assist with benefits administration
  • Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes, status changes
  • Responsible for coordinating employee benefits, such as health insurance, pensions and leave of absence.
Compensation
  • Tracks employee compensation and maintains accurate records
  • Partners with leadership to make recommendations for promotions and salary adjustments
General People team duties
 
  • Coordinates and tracks employee immigration cases to completion
  • Conducts investigations on employee and performance relations issues
  • Conducts exit interviews and owns offboarding processes
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment for employees.
  • Partners with IT and manages facilities to equip new hires with office supplies, furniture and hardware.
Qualifications
  • Ten + years of experience in Human Resources or People Operations
  • Expertise in current Japanese Employment laws, compliance and regulatory affairs
  • Experience working in a fast paced, start-up environment
  • Experience with Recruiting and Talent Acquisition

  • People management
